Weekly Update from Rich Muny, VP of Player Relations
This week, I wish to remind those with money on Full Tilt Poker to be sure to submit your claim by this Saturday, November 16th, at fulltiltpokerclaims.com. This deadline is approaching fast, so do not miss your chance to get your money back.
I also wish to remind everyone, again, that no one has been denied remission. Even those told by Claims Administrator Garden City Group that they will not be eligible for remission are still eligible to apply and to get a formal determination of their status:
|
| No one is prevented from filing a Petition for Remission. If GCG is unable to provide you with a Petition and Control number, you may still file a new Petition by clicking here and then clicking on the “Create a New Petition” button. All Petitions—confirmed, disputed and new—will be reviewed after the filing deadline, using the Department of Justice criteria to determine eligibility for remission. |
|
|
So, if you wish to have your claim considered, be sure to submit your claim by Saturday. The only exception is for players who have been tagged as affiliates by GCG. For these players, GCG is currently calculating net balances. Once done, these players will be notified and will have thirty days from that point to apply for remission.
Online Poker Activism
Online advocacy through social media is fast becoming one of the most effective ways to deliver messages to politicians. PPA is at the forefront of this strategy and has made it easy for you to participate. Recently, PPA hosted a webinar emphasizing the importance of online advocacy in the fight for our right to play. Please take a moment to watch the webinar here.
With social media on our side, there is no limit to what we can accomplish. PPA has made it easy for you to contact your lawmakers. We encourage you to do so by participating in the Poker Daily Action Plan and via the PPA app. We also, of course, encourage activism through traditional methods like letters and phone calls to lawmakers as well.
Please follow PPA on Facebook, Twitter, and Google+, and join us in letting your lawmakers know you want them to support your poker rights!
