Weekly Update from Rich Muny, VP of Player Relations

Two weeks ago, I let you know Full Tilt Poker Claims Administrator Garden City Group posted a status update on their website promising that the claims process will begin shortly and clarifying that remission will be based on final balances and not on deposits. I also mentioned that PPA was not resting on that and was pushing for release of specifics, including dates for application, expected dates for processing, etc., and that we were also seeking as streamlined a process as possible. Well, I have very good news to report. We now have all of that!

Garden City Group (GCG) posted an update a few days ago with specific dates:

Important Update About the Start of the Claims Process

Starting on September 16, 2013, GCG will email a Notice with instructions on how to submit a Petition for Remission online to all potentially eligible claimants identified by GCG utilizing data supplied by Full Tilt Poker (“FTP”). The deadline to submit a Petition for Remission is November 15, 2013. Instructions concerning the filing of Petitions will be included in the Notice and will be posted on this website. Please continue to check this website for updates. Please note that the registration process for email notification is no longer available.

I encourage you to read the entire statement on their website, at www.fulltiltpokerclaims.com.

Be sure to pay close attention to the dates, as the window is short. GCG will start accepting applications for remission on September 16th and will stop on November 15th.

PPA has maintained communication with the Department of Justice throughout this process, ensuring they understand our unique situation. PPA Executive Director John Pappas and I discussed this at length on Monday evening’s Poker Advocacy with Rich Muny webcast. I encourage you to check it out!
