2012 U.S. Online Poker Survey
Last week we told you about the latest PPA poker survey. Thank you for the thousands of PPA members who took the time to complete the survey and provide us compelling information and data that will help us advocate for your poker rights. With the upcoming elections, the survey focused on the voting habits of poker players and there were some interesting results:
31% are registered Democrats — 31% are registered Republicans — 38% are either Libertarian, Independent of Undeclared.
This means that poker players could play a pivotal role in the election as both major parties are fighting to secure the vote of those not affiliated with either GOP or Democratic parties.
The good news is that, according to the survey, 90% of you intend to vote in the upcoming elections!
Furthermore, a whopping 75% of respondents indicated their votes for Congress and the Senate would be influenced by their local politicians stated support for legalized online poker. The poker community can make a difference in this election and we can help elect candidates that will support your right to play. Check out our Congressional Ratings Site to see where your elected officials stand. While you are there, don’t forget to take advantage of the interactive tools the ratings pages provide. You can directly call, email, Tweet and Facebook your Member of Congress, right from the page.
Finally, you can only make a difference if you are registered to vote. If You Play, Have a Say and learn how you can register to vote TODAY!.
