Poker is Not a Crime: PPA to Hold Rally and Testify in Massachusetts Legislature
WHAT:
A rally in opposition to H 4307 the Massachusetts Casino Expansion, bill in advance of a hearing on the legislation.
A provision included in this legislation, proposed by Governor Deval Patrick, will make Massachusetts citizens who enjoy playing online poker criminals. Tucked into Massachusetts Casino Expansion Bill (H 4307), the provision makes it illegal to play poker on the Internet in the comfort of one’s own home punishable by up to 2 years in prison and/or a $25,000 fine.
