Weekly Update from Rich Muny, VP of Player Relations
PPA Team at the WSOP
Last week, PPA Information Technology Manager Randy Lau. PPA MN State Director Mike Qualley and I spent a few days at the World Series of Poker™, meeting with many poker players and enthusiasts at the PPA WSOP booth. We had a terrific time there and hope those who stopped by to chat with us on the latest in the push for poker, all PPA is doing, and what poker players and enthusiasts can do to support the fight for poker did as well. PPA will be back for the Main Event, with representatives at the booth June 26th through July 8th. PPA Executive Director John Pappas and I will be there for parts of that week (John the earlier half and me the final half), along with other PPA folks. If you are in town for the WSOP, we look forward to meeting you there!

I have great news to share with you. Last week, the Pennsylvania state Senate introduced S.B. 900, a comprehensive gambling bill that would license real money Internet poker throughout the Keystone State. The bill represents a major step forward in Pennsylvania and continues to build on the momentum in the PA House of Representatives. The bill is not perfect as it requires in person registration for residents living closer than 20 miles from a casino, but we look forward to working with the Senate to make the bill more player friendly. Please take a moment to read PPA’s full comments and press release on the latest development in Pennsylvania.
