Weekly Update from Rich Muny, VP of Player Relations
I am pleased to report that the poker community has been very active in telling state and federal lawmakers that we demand the right to play poker in all its forms – online, bricks and mortar, charity, home games, etc. – and that we are clearly being heard. This week, we have a great opportunity to reach out to the two Congressional committees that held the recent hearings on online poker. Will you make a stand here? These committees are very accessible via social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter. As the poker community excels at online activism and was even recognized by PC World for our leadership in this area, let’s take advantage of the opportunity!

State Director Spotlight: Connecticut State Director, Chad Lehofer
Chad Lehofer lives and works in Mystic, CT, where he has been involved with the poker community both on and offline for about 5 years. He also enjoys playing in charity no-limit tournaments in his community. Chad is known as a strong advocate for the poker community in Connecticut, advocating for the repeal of UIGEA and supporting PPA’s efforts to federally license and regulate online poker. As State Director, Chad has been instrumental in keeping the national PPA office informed about poker-related legislation at the state level and is currently working on expanding PPA’s grassroots activities through the state. Chad is always looking for poker activists to volunteer to help spread the word about the PPA. To reach him you can email him at [email protected].
The PPA wishes to keep active members like yourself updated on the latest poker advocacy news by periodically sending out select events and headlines. We hope you find it informative and thank you for your continuing support.
