We at PPA wish everyone in the poker community a happy and prosperous 2012! Thank you all for your continued support. We had some excellent news come our way on the Friday before Christmas, as you probably know already. The Department of Justice reviewed the scope of the Wire Act and issued a determination that this law applies only to wagering on sporting events or contests! Please be sure to read the PPA statement on this important decision. With this decision and with poker legislation gaining momentum in Congress, it is very important for all of us to continue speaking out for our right to play. A good way to start the New Year is to email your U.S. Representative and Senators and remind them to support your right to play poker. We’ve updated the automated letter to reflect the DoJ news and other recent highlights from our effort, so click below send your email today!
