Dan Smith aka “KingDan” started his competitive career as a accomplished chess player. He would be introduced to poker in his later teens and by the time he started attending college at the University of Maryland, he was already playing both live tournaments and online.
Dan would ultimately leave college to pursue poker full-time and began playing full-time in 2007. It would be less than a year before he would begin to make a impact on the poker world.
