    Does anyone have any solid information on how to runn legal charity tournaments in KS? Thanks!

    Cliff Notes: there is no legal way to run a traditional poker tournament to benefit charity under KS law (assuming, of course, that poker is game of chance subject to KS gambling laws; the PPA is currently involved in a case before the KS Court of Appeals which directly raises that issue).

    The common way around the law is to not require people to pay to play (donations are only requested, never required) and to have the winning prizes fixed in advance (thus not dependent on the amount paid/donated).
