Not that I know much about the law, or poker for that matter, but here is a link to a post I made previously that touches upon bar poker in North Carolina.

I am also interested in promoting live tournaments in the bars and pubs in North Carolina, I have been told several different stories concerning this issue depending on which county you ask.
Some say its OK and others cite an old law about "Gaming Tables"
