  2. I work at a charity poker room in Michigan, and we get a lot of Toledo customers, who say that there is no legal poker in Ohio .. what's the deal?

What you have heard, is absolutely false! There are a few poker rooms in Toledo, and in various other spots in Ohio. Many people don't know what the laws are and assume what they have heard is true, which is not. Gambling on Ohio is very legal, it's just the way that you run the game that can make it illegal. Check out the Ohio Revised Code section 2915.02. this will help you out. One reason you may not have heard of any poker rooms in Ohio is that they are not allowed to publicly advertise if they are a private club, which one of them I know is a private club. If it is a charity event it is much different than in Michigan in the way it is ran. I have ran both in Michigan and in Ohio and still do run games in both states. Let your customers know it is not illegal, and to come enjoy some real poker in the Buckeye State! Dollar King Sucks!!!

  5. A guy from Columbus was in today, and was telling me that most all the games are at private clubs, and are legal .. That was like a year ago that I was getting a ton of Toledo customers .. (before there were any rooms in the southern part of Michigan, and there may not have been any in Toledo at the time either)

We may be needing to drum up some support against the bills in the MI legislature that are seeking to hamstring our ability to run charitable game rooms ...
