Hi! My name is Mike O'Donnell and I play in a amateur poker league sponsored by the WPT. The State of Ohio Department of Saftey is trying to take away our league citing a some rule saying no game of chance can be played in a public place. They sent a letter to all the bars telling them stop the league at once. Is this legal. What can we do to get it back

Ohio gambling laws do not cover contests where the participants are charged NO fee. But setting up rules for Bars is a different story. I do not know Ohio's liquor laws, sorry. Perhaps you can contact the Ohio authorities and get them to send you a copy of the rules they are relying on. If you do that, I promise I will TRY and find a loophole.

If I cant, then the only thing to do is ORGANIZE and try and get the stupid politicians to change the rules.
