I was just wondering if anyone has received any of their gifts for becoming a premium member. I actually have a really nice card protector from Bodog from when they sent me to the 2006 Main Event, so I really don't need the gifts, but I am kinda curious as to when, if at all, they ever actually get sent out. I have onlt been a member for a month or so, but old posts seem to indicate that people wait a long time to get their extras! I would like the chance to proudly display my association with the PPA, but it's hard to do without said material...lol.

I have received my chip card cover and window sticker, as they said they would send. It did take a few weeks to receive it, but I did receive it, and I think the fine print stated to allow 6 weeks or so for delivery. The sticker looks really good on the back window of my car, and I can now proudly promote the PPA both on the road and at the card table. The chip is nice, too.

I have been waiting since August, 08, have sent 2 separate emails to remind them, and have still not received anything -- not even so much as a reply or explanation. I have also not been receiving the Daniel Negreanu newsletter that I signed up for. I have sent email about this as well, and have not received any help or reply to this either.
I realize that PPA was setup for lobbying for my rights, and not for handing out thank you gifts; but I don't want to deal with any organization that is this unresponsive. I feel like I have been used and ignored, and find this inexcusable. I will not be renewing my membership, and will no longer be recommending the organization to others.

I have sent the PPA a number of emails over the last two years. Often it is in response to something they sent me in email, such as a request for participation of some sort. I've also sent emails offering to help with issues.
I'm fairly certain I have yet to ever receive a reply of any sort to any of my emails. This seems consistent with the idea that "membership gifts" have not been sent.

I exchanged a few emails with a few people, after waiting 6 months for mine .. got 'em about a week and a half or so later.
I'd actually love to be able to get a rack of these chips, although not in primarily black, they are too easily confused for a black chip, which although i don't normally play games where there are lots of black chips, some people think it's a game chip, and not just a protector.
Try emailing Bryan@theppa.org
apparently they moved from the "theppa.org" email addresses for some reason or other.

Interesting - I just signed up two days ago. Let's see if my "gifts" show up...

I sent Bryan a note to take a look at this thread.

Hi Guys,
Sorry about the issues, please email me directly at bryan@theppa.org, or call my office directly at 202 552 7431. We have had issues in the past with certain mail providers throttling and stopping our emails, so that might be why you are having trouble Philogic, i have no way of knowing if my emails to certain address, specifically comcast and hotmail among others, are going through. However, if you contact me, it will be taken care of. Thanks.
Bryan

Thanks Bryan!

Well, after sending Bryan an email (which he confirmed receiving), speaking with him over the phone (at which point, I was told it would be sent that day), waiting another month, and following up with another email, still nothing.
I hope the PPA acts more responsibly toward our legislators than it does toward its members. It may just be a simple little item; but in my mind, it's also a lack of attention to detail, a broken promise, and a lack of concern for honoring one's word.
