    Greetings Nevada PPA Members

It has been a great honor to recently have been selected to represent the Poker Players Alliance as Nevada’s new State Director.

At this time I want to introduce myself to you, the members in our great State and thank you for the support that you have given the PPA. My background includes 20 plus years in the poker industry including holding positions of Satellite Director and Payout Manager for the World Series of Poker, Tournament Director for the 2008 Montel Williams Charity Event in New York, board member for the 2007 Jennifer Harman, Nevada SPCA Charity Event and organized the first Legends of Poker at the Commerce Casino. Politically, I served on the staffs of former US Senator Birch Bayh, Mayor Russell G. Lloyd and former Governor Matthew Welsh, all from Indiana. Currently, I hold the position of Public Relations Director for DG Holdings Group SA

It is my position that Nevada, being the capitol of gaming ‘Around the World’, we must take a leadership role in pushing for reversal of the UIGEA legislation. Keeping that in mind, I am reaching out to you, the Nevada members. The PPA and I need your continued support. Timing is of the essence. The holidays are fast approaching, the economy is in a mess and I know we all have busy lives, but if you would just take a few minutes from your schedules to protect your privacy rights, we need to unite and do the following:

Get two of your friends in Nevada to join the PPA
Contact the Obama Change Team express your opposition to the UIGEA
Contact are Senators & Congressmen and express your concerns

There are many activities that I will be attending making our voices heard in Nevada and will be posting a schedule for you to follow. You will also be getting updates of the progress of these meetings and future projects and goals for increasing the Nevada’s membership.

    Thank you,

    Dianna Donofrio,
    Nevada State Director

Please feel free to contact me I look forward to your comments and suggestions.

Maybe you guys can help me. I have been playing online for a while now, but it has been getting tougher to play the real money sites because of the banking laws. Now there are membership sites where you pay a subscription to play for cash & prizes. These "legal" sites like ClubWPT, Spade Club, and Pure Play seemed to fill the niche for those of us who want to play without the hassle of overseas bank accounts or risk of legal problems. FleetStreetGames (FSG) is one of these sites. They are affiliated with Poker School Online (PSO) and originally advertised as an added benefit to PSO membership, where we could play tournaments for prizes and real cash. On October 26, 2008, I came in 2nd in their monthly 50k tourney for a win of $7500. I never received my winnings. Since that time, FSG shut down and PSO is still operating and offering to convert FSG winnings to extensions or upgrades to memberships in PSO. I prefer my winnings, but it has been nearly 3 months now with no response from anyone at eaither PSO or FSG to help me. As an avid online poker fan, I hate to see our poker community recieve bad press, but this situation is demanding a resolution that if not corrected will damage the reputation of all online play, including the subscription sites. I am not the only one awaiting payment from PSO/FSG. Could you please help repair poker's rep and help those members of PSO/FSG? PSO is based in Las Vegas, so it seems as if they would like to cooperate, but since it is online, where do I turn?
