I have a guide on Congress at http://theengineer.theppa.org/congress-and-internet-poker-rights . I hope you'll all find it useful. I also had a thread on this on the old forum, at http://webringamerica.com/4/pokerplayersalliance/viewtopic.php?t=1781&start=0 . This thread picks up where that one left off.

Steven Rothman [D-NJ] has cosponsored Wexler's Skill Game bill, bringing the number of cosponsors of that legislation up to 22. Rep. Rothman remains A rated, having previously cosponsored IGREA. He voted against HR 4411, the bill that became UIGEA.

Reps. Steven R. Rothman [D-NJ] and Steve Cohen [D-TN] have cosponsored HR 5767, the UIGEA moratorium bill.
Rep. Rothman remains A rated, having previously cosponsored IGREA and Wexler's bill. He voted against HR 4411, the bill that became UIGEA.
Rep. Cohen remains rated A+, having previously cosponsored IGREA, Wexler's bill, and the Study Bill. He also stood strong for us at the second House hearing on this subject, where he famously asked Tom McClusky of the Family Research Council if there's any fun he's for. Following this, we named the Focus on the Family "Foes of Fun".

If Washington State is listed as a proponent of poker why is it that playing online is a felony? Just a thought.

"If Washington State is listed as a proponent of poker why is it that playing online is a felony? Just a thought."
My map is of congressional support, and Washington State's congressmen tend to support our rights at the federal level.

In the past I have spoken to my NY Congressman, Anthony Weiner, and have been met with a positive response. He has co-sponsored mutiple bills pending in the House, along with a handful of other NY congressmen that I have not yet contacted.
Unfortunately, one of them was Congressman Vito Fosella of Staten Island. If you read national news you may have heard of his more pressing political issues, ahem...
I plan on expanding my efforts in contacting other New York politicians (and candidates) so as to improve our standing on local, state, and federal levels.
P.S.- Upon further review Rep. Fosella is a co-sponsor of H.R. 2046 only.

Jim Moran [D-VA] has just cosponsored the Study Bill, bringing the number of cosponsors to 73. He remains A rated, having cosponsored IGREA, Wexler's bill, and the UIGEA moratorium. He's one of five congressman to sponsor or cosponsor all four pro-poker bills (Berkley, Cohen, Wexler, and Honda are the others).
As an aside, back when Moran was against us he cosponsored Goodlatte's ban bill and voted for HR 4411. This gives Moran the odd distinction of being the only congressman to cosponsor or vote in favor of all six recent poker-related bills.
