Vinny...a vote for O'Bama is a vote raising taxes on both the poker player and on the poker player's employer, who will eventually have to lay them off and then they won't be able to pay for their online poker in the first place.
Oh wait, let me explain myself! Then they can draw unemployment and when that runs out, the rest of us can pay their way when Mr. O starts redistributing and spreading the wealth. All he's proposing is a big welfare program that means that those of us that work hard for our money (so that we can spend it on poker if we wish) will have to support all those that are "entitled" to receive their fair share of my pay check while sitting on their ass...refusing to get a job because it's below an inflated union scale...and it's more profitable for them to get a handout. (The newspapers are full of unfilled employment ads.)
He also says tax and punish all the big companies, but what a lot of folks fail to realize is that when that is done, these happen to be the same companies that most of us have our retirement plans and 401K funds invested in. Guess what...tax big business more, profits go down, dividends go down, and first thing you know your retirement package is going in reverse. Who gets hurt...the taxpayer whose retirement package is worth less. By the way, the Dems are already looking at ways to remove the tax deferment from 401Ks. There goes more of your money to the government to be redistributed.
O'Bama says he's not going to raise the middle class taxes. Wrong! He's telling another fib on this one. The plan is to allow the Bush tax cuts to expire in 2010 and that in effect will raise nearly everyone's tax rates once again.
Dude...I can't fault you or anyone else for being sucked in by the charismatic rhetoric that Mr. O spews forth. After all, it's just like in poker...find the fish and reel them in. I encourage everyone to resist the temptation to just buy into O'Bama's lies. Use your brain and research the facts for yourself. You can find the truth out there if you want to...but it won't be from the news media who try to spoon feed you what they want you to believe (they do have an agenda).
I lived through and survived the Carter years and after recovering from that I determined then that I'd never let another liberal administration screw up my financial life. I'm prepared for the economic disaster that is about to happen to this country if O'Bama is elected... and especially with a Democratic Congress that will move even farther left toward a socialist government. The problem is that many of today's voters are too young to remember those Carter years and they are buying into the same unrealistic hype that sounds good...but it just doesn't work.
If you elect O'Bama on Tuesday you should prepare for the fact that many of today's poker players won't have any discretionary money with which to play poker in the first place. Layoffs and unemployment rates will go up, inflation rates will rise, loans will become more expensive (if you could afford one in the first place), prices across the board will go up, and this country will move deeper and deeper into a recession that will take years to recover from.
O'Bama's words sound good, but for your best interests and especially for the best interests of the United States, please vote for McCain. Hopefully you'll notice that I haven't tried to convince you how great McCain is. I'm really not a big fan of his. And I don't mean to dis the Libertarians at all because they've got some good ideas. I'm just trying to be realistic. All I want everyone to realize is that McCain is the better choice for our country at this time.
