Arizona members I had a death in the family recently and have had other things going on and have not really been active the last month but I think we need to meet and get some serious planning done. There are many things going on right now and its not looking good for this game we all love. A quote comes to mind and I am not sure who said it but I think the message is clear enough "the only cure for despair is action". There are elections, candidates and things we need to collect information on and inform others about members and non members alike. We need to set up a committee and work on recruiting members and garnering media attention. I am more than willing to open up my home to a meeting because I really feel like this is a crucial time for poker and definitely not a time to be complacent if you care about this game and your civil rights and liberties concerning it, please let myself or arizonapokerplayer know so we can set up something and why not have a game and some good food as well? I also know a local brew master at one of the Rock bottom Breweries and I'm sure he would give me a friendly discount on a keg of beer as well. I'm willing to make it fun and provide the place if we can get the bodies to one of these meetings. As always we are open to suggestions but we need some motivated bodies to get our state chapter(s) going, our message and our rights to play this game alive and kicking. Anybody else feel this way if so lets take action outside of these blogs and do something.

Ok guys and girls. I am back in town from my holiday venture and have resolved my computer issues. I would very much like to get a solid group of people together and try and meet at least once a month. What is everyones schedules and who would also be willing to meet, form a committee and also discuss the future of the PPA in our state? While also enjoying good beer and perhaps a friendly game. Let me know!

I can drive up from Tucson, leave work anytime after 4pm daily, weekends are no prob either, just let me know a few days in advance before so I can plan accordingly...

Sounds good Ken I am glad to here we have someone active and willing to participate down there in Tucson. I m hoping to get quite a few people so lets hope there are others here in the state who would like to be involved and we can figure out a time and place. So let's see how many others respond here in the next few weeks. That way when we meet we can make sure it works with most peoples schedules. Please keep me informed of any poker relevant news down there if you should come across it. Also like I mentioned I encourage people getting a group together in their area so hopefully as I find more members we can get you all set up down there as well. I'll keep you informed!

Ok well guys this is my situation as of today. I just had my hard drive crash about two weeks ago and am without a computer. As some of you know if you have read the other posts I am transitioning into the state director spot. This is has been difficult because of my not having a computer. I am more than willing to have a meeting but I am hoping to get more than just one or two people there. My personal email is [email protected] so if some of you want to do something for now email there. Also if there is any poker news related to our state please post it in the current events topic so someone coming in can see what is going on and I can as well. It easier to check my personal email from my iphone than this site and reply so don't be shy use my personal email if any of you have ideas, want to get a meeting set up etc . I should have a working hard drive replaced by Apple soon but I am waiting to see if my old hard drive has any recoverable data. Because Apple would not give me a new HD with out giving them my old one. I hope of all of you are well and I look forward to getting this going if we can get enough members in one spot for a good meeting to set up some things.
