Hi, my name is KJ. As the new Co-Director representing the PPA in the state of Idaho, just wanted to introduce myself. I live in Meridian, the new hub of the Treasure Valley. I will be working directly with Wendy Nutting who is from the northern part of our great state.
Not only do I play a lot of poker, I actually run a game three nights a week and play occassionaly at other games. Have been playing for 4 1/2 years and my excitement for the game continues to grow. As we all know, you never stop learning. There is always a different way you could have played those bullets.
I am very excited to make a difference for our cause in Idaho, and would love to hear from other members and state directors. Would encourage poker players and PPA members from the southern half of Idaho to contact me via email, and introduce yourself. Of course I would enjoy hearing from members from other states as well. I would welcome the chance to discuss ideas with all current and prospective PPA members. My email address is: lovinlife1000@msn.com.
Thank you for taking the time to read my post. I look forward to hearing from my fellow poker players.

    Good Luck and Good Poker,
    KJ

Hey y'all, this is KJ. I wanted to encourage all Idaho poker players and PPA members to get vocal. It is time to stand up! I am wanting to start organizing meetings and get togethers in the southern half of the state. Contact me at lovinlife1000@msn.com.
Let's make a difference in the fight. All players in northern Idaho can contact Wendy at cnwstuck@adelphia.net.
    Thanks for your time.

    Good Luck and Good Poker,

    KJ:

Glad to hear you're on board!

I head down to Boise a lot for business, and I always see places like Mr. Lucky's and Cowgirls Saloon running hold 'em tournaments. Never checked them out, though. How's the play? Would I be wasting my time on my next trip to Boise?

    Cheers,

    brian

    Hi Brian,
There is a free poker league in the Treasure Valley. While the play at the bar tournaments is okay, you know how it is when people are playing with no risk of losing money. Play tends to be a little loose at times.
Where are you from? I run a game three nights a week and play at other games occassionally. The next time you are planning a trip to Boise you can email me (lovinlife1000@msn.com) or give me a call (208-447-6887). Would be happy to have you at my game or I can tell you about other games going on if it is an off night for me. Feel free to contact me any time.
    Great hearing from you.

    Good Luck and Good Poker,
    KJ

I live in Spokane, and end up in Boise quite a bit for business. Actually, I'm in N. Idaho and the Boise area all the time. I often get in on casual games in the Spokane area, and hit the tables at Northern Quest whenever I get the chance.

Thanks for the info KJ - I'll definitely hit you up when next I'm in Boise.

PPA Chairman former Senator Alfonse D'Amato is excited to announce the Poker Players Alliance (PPA) State Director Fly-In to Washington, D.C. from July 20-23, 2009. The purpose of the Fly-In is for State Directors to lobby members of the U.S. House and Senate to support pro-poker legislation and to demonstrate to Congress that the poker community is an important constituency that cannot be ignored. Also joining us to lobby Washington will be some of the biggest names in poker, including two time WSOP bracelet winner Howard Lederer and the 2004 WSOP Main Event champion Greg Raymer.

So, that being said. Wish me luck. I will be also advocating for Idaho's right to play poker in the privacy of our own homes. Social Gambling is still illegal in Idaho. If you haven't already done so, please sign up to show your support at Poker Players Alliance.com.
