   WASHINGTON — A week after he was arrested on drunken-driving charges, New York City's only Republican congressman disclosed Thursday that he fathered a child through an extramarital affair with a retired Air Force officer who lives near Washington, D.C.

   "I have had a relationship with Laura Fay, with whom I have a 3-year-old daughter," Rep. Vito Fossella, 43, said in a statement. "My personal failings and imperfections have caused enormous pain to the people I love, and I am truly sorry."

   When looking though some of the co-sponsors of H.R. 2046, I noticed a name that I thought was Mr. Family Values. I don't know how much time Mr. Fosella will have these days to promote the legislation.

   Looks like he'll be there to finish out his term this year, so he'll be there until Jan 20.
