I tried to joined the WPT and was told that players from GA along with about a dozen other states were restricted from playing in "real money" games because of state laws. I have tried unsuccessfully to find out what specifically in our GA. State laws is so different from states whose players are not restricted.
I have spoken to a well respected lobbyist in the Ga. State Legislature. He was surprised and said he would check into it. Haven't heard backl yet. With his contacts and experience he would be a great lobbyist for us. So we have an organized group that would like to look into this?
