Re: 11/17 ESPN article on WA (Prentice: "Let them go pump gas")
Things like this get reported and reflected by local news channels all the time. Does anyone have experience with this? Does the simple tastelessness of her comment make it newsworthy? Do multiple people or organizations need to take a legitimate offense? I don't have much experience with this, but Komo 4 and King 5 air stories of local politicians, business, etc that offend even the smallest constituency for the most bizarre reasons. 'Let them go pump gas for a living' seems flagrant enough to warrant use in the oppositions television spots come next campaign season.
Does PPA like to help with publicizing things of this nature or are they strictly litigious? (Since they are a lobbying body I highly doubt the latter)
Assuming that the Rousso v. the State of Washington does not make it to the US Supreme court, the next greatest hope for change lies in new legislation, and perforce legislators. This seems like as good an opening salvo to that fight as any.

It occurs to me that komo or king would run this, and even if mentioned poker only in passing, or even not at all, it would stand to help this cause. Am I mistaken? Is there a reason not to seek such publicity?
