A close senatorial race is shaping up in Colorado and I want to add my 2cents before it's too late. Ken Buck (R) is trying to unseat Michael Bennet (D) for the Senatorial seat from Colorado. Normally, I would be vying for Buck as the conservative Republican candidate. Not this time. Ken Buck is not only not a friend of poker, he is an outspoken opponent of poker players rights and would work towards the defeat of the Barney Frank bill to legalize online poker in the U.S. As a District Attorney in Colorado, Buck has pursued even penny ante games like $10 buy in tournaments with a vigor and passion far beyond the norm. He has publicly stated that he believes poker to be gambling and should be banned online. On October 26, the State PPA will be hosting a free tournament to support Michael Bennet (who, by the way, signed on to support the Senate bill supporting the Barney Frank bill) at the Buffalo Rose Bar and Grill, 1119 Washington Ave, Golden, CO. Festivities start at 6 and Pro’s Andy Bloch, Dennis Phillips and Linda Johnson will be there as well as Senator Bennet. Come out and support poker!
