We had over 150 people attend the meeting Saturday. We discussed attending your political caucus, Colorado laws on Poker and how to become more involved in the fight. We then had a great poker tournament put on by the Denver Poker Tour. A special Thanks to Brian Masters and the DPT for that. If every person who attended that meeting were to follow through on the process, we will start to see a difference in how the State views us. We can make a difference. I encourage every member of the PPA in Colorado to become involved in this fight. It looks as if the legislation that identifies Poker as a game of skill will see the light of day in Massachusetts (/press-releases/2010/02/23/press-release-ppa-testifies-before-ma-committee-on-poker-as-game-of-skill-022310/) and wouldn't it be a wonderful thing if that were to happen in Colorado? Come on folks, there are approximately 20,000 of us in this State. Get involved, call your state Representative, state Senator or the Governors office. Go to your party's caucus. Write your local newspaper or call in to your favorite talk show and shout "POKER IS A GAME OF SKILL" from the rooftops (figuratively of course). The time has come for a change in Colorado. Bring poker in out of the cold.
