Hello, my name is Taylor. I'm from a small town of about 23,000 people called Macomb, home of WIU. I'm an advid poker player, as many people from around the area are. A lot of people in the location im in have showed a lot interest in a poker room being open and operated to avoid hosting illegal home rake/profit games but no one has taken that extra step to gain information needed to open and operate such a thing.
I've decided to go ahead and take that extra step, and ask for links or known information on such things I would need to open, operate, and maintain a professionally ran buisness as a card room in the state of Illinois. The card room would operate various games such as no limit hold em, pot limit hold em, and pot limit omaha(ohama is big among the college students, would like to run a game, but not 100% required).
I'm sure in order to do this i'll need such things as special license(s), a good bankroll to start up the operation, and possibly a lawyer who specializes in this area. I know a little of the basic info, but am coming to you as a poker player to ask for all needed information to run a legite, crime/drug/alcohol free card room.
