I personally feel everyone has right to their opinion but I am completely tired of reading posts about rigged poker sites and then members bashing each other and the game. Can we get someone on here to start removing posts that in no way help what we are trying to accomplish here. Some of these posts/responses are not productive, unprofessional and have no bearing on our goal as an organization.

I agree with you 100%, chukphx.

I'd like to see the spam removed the day it hits.

As for the other stuff, a sticky message delineating the focus of the board would be nice, and clearly off topic messages removed.

Maybe as a start the moderators could develop a list of obviously off topic items and warn they will be deleted immediately.

So what you are saying is that anyone who doesn't share your opinion should not be allowed to post? Sounds kind of communistic to me!

No. I'm saying this is not a forum for conspiracy theories and personal attacks.

Also, accusing sites of cheating is not an opinion. It's an accusation. We will not tolerate baseless accusations.

  6. This is a site for the discussion of things related to the Poker Players Alliance, mikern12. If I recall correctly, you were involved pretty significantly in the baseless accusations of sites being rigged, which makes me believe, since you are still actually coming around here, that you are simply trying to troll the forums.

It seems pretty unlikely that discussion of a particular site, unless it somehow relates to the PPA, would be on topic here.

I've been asked to help keep the forums clean and on topic, and I intend to do that. I hope that that will promote people actually coming here to post. I do not speak for the PPA, though, when I do post, I do speak only for myself.

IMO, the PPA will need to start making posts here first, before hitting all the other forums in the poker-verse, though.

Like everyone, I have my opinions and these blogs are the best places to post them. That said I believe it is important to:
    A. Keep the discussion civil, on point and germane to Poker.
    B. Keep it clean. Our society has become more and more tolerant of poor language and filthy speach. It has no place in online discussions and particularly not on PPA sites.
    C. Give your opinion, but make sure you state that it is YOUR OPINION. If you have facts (anecdotal stories do not qualify as facts) lay them out. Stop confusing opinion with fact.
Finally yes, we, the members of and supporters of the PPA should have a way to take down offensive, misleading and derogotory posts. That said, honest opinion should never be taken down because it disagrees with someone else's point of view.
