Good to hear from Indiana members and glad to hear that your all willing to help. It seems that we do have people in Indiana willing to step up and help with the PPA effort. I encourage others to make their presence known so that we can get an idea of the numbers in our state.
The problem is that we apparently have no PPA leadership at the State level. I have repeatedly emailed the State Director and the PPA asking for information about PPA direction and action in Indiana with an offer to help. To date I have not received any contact from the State Director and apparently we don't have an assistant to the State Director.
PPA staff have sent me recruiting materials and there is plenty of interest in the cause among central Indiana poker players, but at this point, I'm reluctant to do much in the way of recruiting as we have no leadership and/or guidance in our state. I still hold hope that someone of authority will eventually make contact and I will continue to try to find that person(s). Now is an important time for us to strengthen our Indiana membership numbers, particularly in light of actions being taken by the Kentucky Governor and members of Congress.
I would ask each of you from Indiana to contact the PPA with a request for our State Director to make themselves known and to take a more active role of leadership and guidance in our state efforts.
Good luck at the tables...Tim
